The Lincolnshire side currently have 2 senior teams and 8 junior teams and are registered with the Football Association as a Charter Standard Development Club. The club attracted many brands because of this achievement, but have agreed a deal to wear JAKO which is distributed by mail order specialists Pro Active Teamwear of Grimsby.
JAKO have a high profile in Europe and worldwide with German Bundesliga team Hannover 96, Young Boys Bern from Switzerland, Sturm Graz of Austria and SC Herenveen of Holland. They are also the official kit partner to national sides Luxembourg, Jordan and Moldova who came up against England last year in the World Cup qualifying rounds.
Here in the UK JAKO are the ‘Official Match Ball Supplier’ to The Football Conference League which include Grimsby Town, Lincoln City & Boston United who are currently using the footballs. JAKO are also the Official Kit Partners to Conference clubs Tamworth FC, Hyde FC & Leamington FC. Sir Alex Ferguson’s first managerial club East Stirlingshire and Womens Premier League clubs Doncaster Belles & London Bees.
Andrew Cotton, representing the club commented:
“This is excellent news for Horncastle Town. Our progression as a club with the new clubhouse facility and a kit deal like this ensure the progression and unification of our teams throughout. To draw such a name as Jako shows the club is moving in the right direction and I am delighted to have secured the brand as exclusive supplier.”
“As well as the quality of the brand there is a fantastic team behind it. Glen and his colleagues at Proactive have looked after the club superbly in the past and this was a major reason behind our partnership. I look forward our link growing and strengthening in the coming years and long into the future.”
Glen Wilkinson, Director of Pro Active Teamwear & JAKO UK commented:
‘Since we took over the JAKO brand license we have been looking for ways to improve on prices, service and incentives and have invented an initiative called the JAKO direct club scheme. Dealing direct brand to club means prices are more attractive and with the added loyalty bonus, it means the club will receive a free allocation of kit each year which adds to the partnership.
‘Horncastle Town FC have been a long standing customer of mine and we approached the club to put forward our proposals. They have been very good to me over the years and I am very pleased to continue servicing and supporting the club going forward’
