Sleaford Town 1-0 Horncastle Town
Just a single goal seperated Town and United Counties League outfit, Sleaford as Horncastle looked to build on their 2-1 win over Billinghay Athletic at the weekend.
The hosts took the lead early in the first half as Town were punished for some slack marking.
The game saw a lot of play in the middle of the park with both defences proving to be in good form.
As Town began tire, and Sleaford used a bigger substitutes bench to their advantage it saw Town put on the back foot for the final 20 minutes. However, Robbie Aldrich, who was making his first start in goal for Horncastle pulled off some great blocks to keep the scoreline at 1-0.
Next up for Town is the visit of Pinchbeck Utd on Saturday, 3:00pm kick off.
