North Somercotes United 2-3 Horncastle Town (Blondel (2), Jackson)

Despite taking a largely under strength side, with several first team members absent Town went onto win by the odd goal in five.

Luke Blondel scored a brace while Richard Jackson also notched. There was also a senior debut for Daniel Nixon who played for the clubs under 16s last season and impressed those onlooking.

Next up for Town is the visit on Boston United Under 21s who visit The Wong on Wednesday evening for the annual John Rawdon Memorial fixture. (7:00pm kick off).
