Hykeham Town 5-1 Horncastle Town (Harness)
Despite some promising spells in the opening half, Town found themselves 3-0 down after Hykeham punished Town for defensive errors as well as a unstoppable strike from long range.
Horncastle's top scorer Michael Harness gave his team a glimmer of hope when he pulled a goal back on the hour mark but the home side added to their tally in the 72nd and 75th minute to extinguish any hope there was and secure all three points.
The win now sees Hykeham move top of the table, two points clear of Skegness Town who are on 48 points, while Town drop well off the pace on 42 points and will have to settle for a 3rd place finish this season.
This weekend Town are without a game, but face a trip to Ruston Sports on the 25th for the final fixture of Town's campaign.
