Horncastle Town Development Team 4-4 Scamblesby (Blondel (2), Bullivant, Swift)

After an impressive opening half by the home side, Town found themselves 3-1 up thanks to goals from George Swift, Andrew Bullivant and Luke Blondel.

Last season's under 16s players, Daniel Dixon and Tom Johnson both featured in the second half, making the first appearances for the development team.

However, the visitors began to gain more control in the game and were forcing Town back towards their own half in the second forty five. This and a combination of poor defending from Horncastle saw Scamblesby turn the game on its head to take a 4-3 lead, however Town levelled the game when Luke Blondel scored his second goal of the match after being a awarded a penalty in the final moments of the game.

Town's next fixture is at home to local rivals AFC Harpars on Wednesday 2nd September (7:30pm kick off|).
