It is with regret that we announce the club has been removed from the Lincolnshire Junior Cup due to fielding an ineligible player. Tom Sargeant had made a brief appearance for Fulbeck prior to joining Town in the same competition which contravenes the rules of the tournament. The club fully accept and understand the decision to remove us from the competition and would like to apologise for the error to the clubs supporters, the Lincolnshire FA and to Spalding Town for what was a genuine mistake. Horncastle Town Football Club wish to express that in no way is there any blame attached to Tom Sargeant and he will continue to have the full support of the club.
